I caught a freshwater catfish, or so i think it's a catfish, it looks like a bottomfeeder but it's mouth is straight foreward so i think it's a catfish. Most likely it's a guppy catfish. so to keep it alive i need to know what it eats.

It depends on the species of the catfish. There are over 2,000 different types of catfish. However, they usually eat other fish, aquatic insects, crayfish, and worms. Hope this helps.

Hi Eric and i'm Eric as well, nice to meet you.

About cat fish, they eat almost everything they found in the tank. But they love blood worm and black worm a lot. Or you can buy them dry worm in block. They will sucks on the block for food. Beside that, dead fish n shrimp will be their superb meal as well.

Hope your cat fish would grow nicely..^_^

The fact that it's mouth is straight forward generally indicates it's a predator rather than a bottom feeding scavenger.

Try garden worms and sinking pellets for fish.

they are bottom feeders so most anything that reaches the bottom of the tank like left over foods that your other fish did not eat
