As much as I love the internet, I managed to live without it for the majority of my life, and could give it up if necessary. But, toilet paper? Curse the day I have to give that up...

Toilet paper is what we need the most! Without toilet paper life would be more difficult. I could live without it but would not want to since it is so basic. I like good soft toilet paper-none of the rough stuff! Sears catalogs would not be so easy to get these days. I would run out of leaves and it would be bad when they got crumbly. I guess i would have to use my junk mail.

well it is largely accepted that the toilet was the beginning of a true civilized society. and the convience of havind a crapper right there in the house is very nice. not having to use your hand to clean yourself if nice too.
pinecones hurt...especially is you pull the in the wrong direction.
so i would say that tiolet paper is the better invention

I have, that's really chilly inclusive of your pants round your ankles. outhouses are a hollow contained in the floor, dug through your father and brothers. then they positioned a touch construction over it. it replaced into continually complete of spiders, and stink. no they did not use corn husks. they used rags that were given washed(through hand) and reused. those self same rags were used on your era. after washing they were hung on the garments line(no they did not have dryers both) for the entire community to ascertain. contained in the 1900s they all started utilizing the sears catalog and stuff like it. for my area i bump into TP to be ineffective in cleansing the rectum. wiping really smears. would not sparkling. i take advantage of flush able toddler wipes. Now that cleans. do not ignore, no indoor plumbing means you carried water into the living house for cooking, laundry, and bathing. youthful children frequently bathed contained in the kitchen. they splashed water on the floor, so, kitchen that's. not the position i want to bathe!

I think the answer is obvious, isn't it? The oldest inventions were the most important, because they were essential.
And I imagine the first tools for hunting were the most important inventions.
