I grew up in the 80's and yuck!! The clothes were awful! The funny part is, now they are supposed to be coming back in style! Let me say this in my best 80's valley girl voice, "Uh like gag me with a spoon!" The only good thing that came out of that era was the hair band music and many video clips of Brett Michaels' fine a*s in tight leather pants.

Only part of the 80's I enjoyed was watching my children entering adult-hood. But the over-all look of the 80's was disappointing. It was sickening to see the styles of cars deteriorate. Just my thoughts but cars today don't have any pleasing style to me. They all look alike. I guess because I grew up in the 50's my taste for the styles of cars back then were high makes me feel the way I do today. We had some loud music back in the 50's but nothing like it is today. Al least back them you could understand the music. I don't today. I hear nothing but ear splitting loud noise.

I was born in 1981. I liked the cartoons, but that may be the fog of nostalgia. The music was, uh, interesting. And as funny as it seems, even when I was a kid in the '80's, the styles and big hair seemed odd to me.

I only lived in the 80's until I was 3. So I don't know much about it except that I know the leg warmers were in fashion. So I guess I gotta say I liked the 80's.

I loved it, especially the early part. New wave, bright colors, big hair. It was nice going from the grungy look of the 70s to the tuxedo look...kinda nuveau art-deco,...mirrors, straight lines, lots of gold and brass....and accessories! Big earrings, bold belts and lots of embellishments on clothes. Or, go the other way and wear white vans or topsiders, a pink polo and a pair of 501s. Clean and classic.
As the decade wore on, didn;t like it so much. Whose idea were muscle pants and the "jbr" look sweatshirts? Yuck.

Who can't like the 80s? Creativity was at its highest. Artistic expression was incredible. The best pop bands were around. Incredible songs and movies are from that time. Nonetheless, I wouldn't dress for all the money in the world as they did at that time...

No...I hated it....everything looked neon-pastel...the music was so techno-bubblegum-synthetic you could barf...everyone wore their hair in all kinds of LAME styles, with many trying to look as gay as possible.
It was a pretty silly decade....in spite of that, i was forced to go through high school and college during it, so i can't knock what the good times were!
But the styles???....awful!!!
