can cell shape influence the rate of difusion of nutrients and waste?how will a thin flat cell compare to a cube shaped cell in terms of diffusion rate?why?

A thin flat cell will diffuse faster than a cube shaped cell.

It all depends on it's surface area to volume ratio. The higher the ratio is, the higher the rate of diffusion.

Of course cell shape is relevant. The more surface area is exposed, the more easily diffusion can occur. A thin flat cell has a higher surface to volume ratio than a cuboidal cell, and thus would have a greater diffusion rate.
