burning when you pee, lower back pain, having to go alot and not getting much out, lower abdominal pain - just to mention a few.
Make an appointment with you doctor and in the meantime go to a drugstore and get some Uristat or some other product meant for urinary pain relief. Ask your pharmacist if you can't find it. The generic name of the drug is phenazopyridne, i believe. It is wonderful!
This medicine does not heal the infection so make sure to keep your appointment because the doc will need to prescribe you some antibiotics.

I have gotten several in the past 2 years. It was definately painful to pee! It really just burned alot and in some of my worse ones there would be blood in the urine. I could never go longer than a couple of days before going to the doctor though. They gave me antibiotics and another pill for the painful symptoms. You should definately go to a doctor because the longer you wait the more likely it is that you will get a kidney infection.... not good. Unfortunately a big symptom of kidney infections is backpain so please go to your doctor!! All you have to do is pee in a cup for them and they will get you fixed up! Good luck.

I had this problem once too....however a second opinion found I had a yeast infection that was only made worse by the antibiotics I was given to take care of the UTI. The biggest sign of UTI is pain during urination.

Lots of cranberry juice. Lowers the Ph and makes it uninviting for the infection.

It's not going to go away on it's own. You need antibiotics. I suggest you see a doctor IMMEDIATELY!
