Indeed they are, but they have a weak strength of schedule, the havent played enough good teams to get them the love. If they beat West Virginia they may get in.

Name Recognition go ahead say Rutgers and what comes to mind first, LOSING. If they win out though the computers will get them into the #2 spot with some SEC team ranked 3 playing a DivII opponent this weekend it wont be that hard the computers have been showing them love for the past few weeks having them in the top ten so now all they need to do is win out and hope Louisville does too.

They don't have enough quality wins and play a crap schedule! If they ran the table and got a lot of help, they MIGHT be considered for the title game, but that would be an insult to Auburn since they went undefeated and played a 1-AA team that year just like Rutgers did this year.

i hear you but you can't complain too much as rutgers took a huge leap in the bcs from 15th to 6th but unfortunately since rutgers has along history of losing that's what hurts them in the eyes of the bcs however if they win out and the other teams ahead of them fall down then rutgers could have a real shot at playing the winner of the ohio state michigan game for the national championship just keep hope alive because you never know especially since their have been some stranger things that have happened this season

If Rutgers beats West Virginia, I think it might be their year. One of those Cinderella stories like when Boston College beat the Miami Hurricanes back in 1984 on the hail mary by Doug Flutie.

They are undefeated, but their schedule thus far supposedly was not very tough. They did prove something by beating Louisville. If they win out, the will probably get more love. But in the end, they will not be in the National Championship picture.

Louisville was the first good team they played, and they did get a significant bump in the BCS rankings after that victory. They need to beat West Virginia and get a little help. It's still possible they could end up in the national title game.

'Cause Rutgers is in New Jersey and New Jersey sucks! Fort Dix - pukehole of the universe! Trenton - toilet of the universe! Bleagh! *choke* *gag!*
Okay, okay - my father was from New Jersey, so it ain't all bad. But I stand by my opinions of Fort Dix and Trenton! And Rutgers? Bah. Humbug! Syracuse forever! Go Orange!

RUTGERS IS A GOOD TEAM THEY CAN BEAT ALMOST ANY TEAM BESIDES MICHIGAN OR OHIO STATE.

THERE STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE IS OKAY.

BUT THEY HAVE PLAYED ONE GOOD TEAM LOUISVILLE

IF THEY WIN OUT THEY WILL BE IN THE NATIONALL CAHAMPIONSHIP.

BUT THE LIKELINESS OF THEM BEATING WEST VIRGINIA AND CLEMSON ON BACK TO BACK WEEKS IS PROPOSTUROUS

NO WAY SHOULD THEY INDEED DO THIS THEY NOT GET A NITIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP APPERENCE
