Well, what would you do? You better go right now to apologize and ask her if she would like to attend a good cooking school. Come on, be nice. I don't know how to cook but my hubby would never hurt my feelings. He would let me know in a loving way. Its all about trust. When you criticize how can your wife trust you? Good luck!!

You should expect that she should just pull recipes out of her a$$ and make them marvelously....If she didn't have a mother who taught her how to grocery shop, how to cook or how to keep a house, then where do you expect her to come up with these things from ...out of her a$$? This is a sore spot for me. My parents divorced when I was 5, my mom had to work full time and most of my childhood was spent with the "low pay" baby sitters my mom could afford. Which, trust me, were not too impressive now that I'm older and I remember back. But she did what she had to do. Teaching us too cook? Ha Ha Ha Ha! I felt embarrassed about this forever. I didn't realize when I got married I'd have too cook, and since my mom was divorced, neither die she. I didn't want to tell my husband that, this is just something I should know. NO. I WAS NOT TAUGHT! I WISH I WAS, BUT IT CAME DOWN TO SURVIVAL , she didn't have time, she had to get up early and do it all over again...so, whip something easy together and call it goood. Maybe the two of you should take cooking classed TOGETHER!

Alot of take out meals and anything that can be microwaved.
If you are not satisfied with her cooking then maybe you should cook instead. From the way you said that you just told your wife that she cannot cook it sounds like you are used to your mama's cookin'. Newsflash; your wife is not your mama.
A nice thing to do would be to get cooking lessons for the BOTH of you. Share the experience and enjoy learning something new together. If you can't see your way to do that for your wife, then guityerbitchin.

I have been married for 5 years and my husband just now found out I cook. I really hate to cook but i never came out and told him I couldn't cook. He has cooked 3/4 of the meals since we have been together. I guess I should have told him sooner, now he won't cook at all. He told me that is what I get for making him do all the cooking. So what I am saying is now it is your turn to cook. You might want to apologize also. But what every you do DON'T buy her a cook book.

You will be in the dog house for a long time and eating TV dinners. This is really a case where you should have used a white lie.I feel that you are quite spoiled and always been taken care of your mom....Well, even if your wife was not cooking well, you should have respected her for the effort. If it is below your standard, how about cooking your self......you'll see it is not an easy accomplishment.

First of all, that wasn't very smart or kind. Even if you are telling her the truth, there is a way to be honest, but kind at the same time. Maybe telling her you want to try cooking with her as a couple and buying a cookbook would have worked better....If I were you I would expect to eat out more often......Oh, and don't get your hopes up in the bedroom either....

I think You've had it buddy. If she really cannot cook you have to search for alternative means like try to cook yourself or employ help. If you said it only to be mean and hurt her I think she is not going to cook for you atleast for a week from now. It could be even worse

Well,....
1. Either she won't cook at all for you anymore now that you've told her she has no cooking skills whatsoever.
2. You'll find snot in your food and you shouldn't eat it.
Good luck.
