In the video they have black tape wrapped around two fingers. Does anyone know what that is suppose to symbolize???

(May 25th) Many questions have been asked and theories posted on the internet about the black tape which can be seen around Natalie's middle two fingers in the "Not Ready To Make Nice" video. In a few interviews, Natalie disclosed that she sprained 4 ligaments.

I have read a bit of their fall from grace. I believe the lead singer gave another country star the finger and wore a shirt to an award show with F.U. and the last name of the singer. It was a "pissing contest" over who had talent and who did not. I read about a bit of this after the lead singer made anti Bush comments at an overseas concert saying she was ashamed of ? the country ? the president? It didn't register enough with me to care . . . generated a lot of publicity for them and I see it still is. After all, free publicity whether good or bad can be a good thing.

It symbolizes when they put black tape over their mouths for a photo shoot after all the commotion about the remarks that Ms. Maines made about the president....
