I work for a child protection agency and the answer to that question varies. It really all depends on cultural norms. In the United States, 4 years old is borderline wierd to still be showering *with* the parents. A 4 year old may need help to actually shower, but having parents in with them is odd. But like I said, it all depends on cultural norms.

If the parent and the child are of the same sex then I don't see a problem with it but there has to be a cut off point...even legally. I would take baths with my daughter's but stopped when they were around 21/2. I know there is a law on this but don't know the exact age.

Hell yes he will be in trouble, and he darn well should be! The situation you've described is terribly innappropriate.
Give the child a bath and keep your darn clothes ON. It's no wonder children are so screwed up nowadays.
Although I must ask..."his wife made me wait"...wait for what?

I think 4 or 5 is the cut off point where you need to stop bathing or showering with your kids. After that, I don't think it's normal. Once they learn to wash themselves, there's no need for any parent to be in there naked with them. I think it's considered inappropriate, yes.

Yeah I don't see anything wrong, but after about four or five parents should teach kids to shower on thier own, before it seems awkard for the child.

i think that it depends on te age of your child so it might be normal now but when hes 5 then byebye showers and baths with mommy because the older they get the more independent they have to learn to be and the more they tell everyone everthing

4 or 5 is about the age that the parents of the opposite sex should start covering up in my opinion.

There are many other ways to play with children that don't involve bathing or showering with them
