are you referring to autopay? If so, then you have to give the billing company your account number, name of bank, and routing number of your bank. You have to sign an autodeduction form too. Call your bank and they will send you the form or you can just go in.

Don't do this with your checking account. It is very difficult if not impossible (without closing your checking account) to stop auto payments. Same goes for credit and debit cards.
