Okay, we had music concert rehearsal for our concert for music class. Our music teacher who is a 38 year old women said, "If you do not coaperate, I can really be a Witch with a capital B." Saying she can be a b*tch, and all of us totally got it. She always tells us to, "Kick butt," when we do our concerts, but this year she said, "Kick a**." We have absolutly no problem with it, but do you think it is or isn't appropriate?

I dont agree with her choice of words, I believe it can hinder the kids.Allowing them to think it is okay to use foul language, and I dont think it okay to threaten you with being a witch if she doesnt feel your coaperating. It is wrong.

i totally know wat u mean i was in 7th grade last year and i had this b*tch as our music teacher and she said f*ck alot and she cussed on her own will. It was shocking and i felt the same way. I think as long as she didnt say the word the principal cant do a thing but he can suspend her or something like that but if u like this teacher continue ure regular life with her and these words but if u hate this teacher and feel she means this report it and make sure someone has ure back will ure telling. Our teacher is now fired because of her stupidity and she will not be back.

Interestingly NO! Way back when I WAS a Middle School English teacher it WAS tough work, but I never used words or phrases like that - maybe that's why I didn't last in the teaching profession!

I think she's trying to connect with you guys and talk slang so that you don't see her as a taskmaster and do cooperate during rehearsals. It may not be setting the right example to use those words....but hey, you'll say them someday (probably already are).....as long as you know where and when to use it and when not to. G'luck with the concert!

i'm nonetheless at my ok-8 college going into the eighth grade come September, so i can inform you procedures my first week of seventh grade replaced into. ^_^ ok, the first day everybody were given to their 1st era type (all a thanks to 9th era), all the instructors were valuable and they really went over type guidelines and what topics and stuff might want to study. the instructors requested about our vacation and if we had something to percentage with something else of the students, then they gave us like 5-10 minutes to communicate over with one yet another because there have been some new childrens in our grade aspect. by the second one day the instructors were attempting to get our names immediately and they used seating charts(except for technology, S.S., and Italian instructors)and starting up assigning lockers and textbooks. on the third day we starting up reviewing topics from sixth grade. once you've anymore questions be at liberty to deliver an digital mail! ^__^

I think it is inappropriate. A teacher is a professional & should act like one. You made a good point about you guys being ok with it. Of course teenagers cuss, but she should be setting an example not trying to be cool or bad-azz.

I think teachers and parents set the examples and standards that they wish children to follow. So if they don't want the kids to behave a certain way, then they shouldn't behave that way either.

Tell her you think she's a punt with a capital C.

No. I think she is hilarious.
I would take it as a compliment. She obviously views your class as being very mature. I would prefer her approach over some teacher treating me as if I were 2.

She sounds like a lot of fun.

well my dad is kinda the same way. when i was younger he used to substitute cuss words in front of me then as i got older he started saying the real thing. it could be that your teacher is treating you more like young adults but then she is in a very important position where she can strongly influence you so i guess the kick *ss thing is fine but the ***** isn't.

I think it's kind of sad that a grown woman should be trying to impress a bunch of twelve year old kids with how tough she can act.
