here's the deal, the signal that bring's ur cable tv, also bring's ur internet service. u have 2 option's-u can have your cable company supply u with their cable modem n pay a monthly rental (pick up equipment at an office n do a self install, or schedual to have a cable tec. come n do the install) or you can go to wal-mart, k-mart, anywhere that sell's electronic's and buy ur own cable modem. if u only have 1 active cable outlet in your house u need a 2-way splitter, to run cable into your tv and into ur modem...call cust. serv. and give the mac address of ur modem to start ur acct. for internet. in some cable system's a tech. might have to come out if certian filter's (old-no longer used) are present outside.

They will bring in a cable modem, which gets hooked up just like another cable box, but to your PC instead of your TV. All your existing cable boxes and TV's will stay the same.

If you dont have another cable outlet, they will install a cable splitter to make another port.

they give you a cable modem and register the MAC address on the cable modem to enable the service to work. without the MAC address it won't work. So you can't just go out and buy a cable modem and expect it to work. You'd have to call in the MAC address

All they do is provide you with the modem....in some cases its cheaper to buy a modem compatible with your cable provider!

You will need the modem from them. It gets attached to a separate jack. It is separate from the tv.
