Yeah, he and his partner, Cheryl, had a bigger fan base than Mario and his partner did. I really think Mario was the better dancer.

You don't become a star in the NFL unless you are competitive. But Emmitt has a winning smile and he and his partner were just a lot more likeable than the other two.
I do think Mario was the better dancer, but he lost. Yay Emmitt.

perspective is everything. The rules of the contest are clear that the judges are looking for many things. It's not really just a dance contest. They judge on perseverance, improvement, interpretation and many more things. Emmitt won because he showed the most ability to meet all requirements. It didn't help that he has a great fan base. Don't you think he deserved to win?.

Bottom line, Emmitt wasn't the best, but like most votes in elections that doesn't necessarily mean you'll lose.

Mario was a better dancer technically. Emmitt had charm, style, that counts for something.

I think Emmit Smith won because people could identify with him more than Mr. Dimples. They saw how far he came in ability; his competitiveness would not let him slack off in practice.
I think Mr. Dimples has more ability, but it was harder for the audience to relate to him.
