Currently I take a shower in this order:

1.shampoo hair / rinse
2.conditon hair / comb conditoner through hair / rinse
3.put fresh clean hair in a ponytail so that soap will not get into it
4.wash womanly area with good soap / wash feet with antibacterial soap (hey, man, just to be safe!)
5.put soap on loofa and loofa everywhere neck to ankles / rinse well
6. wash face two times
7. take ponytail out and rinse once more time head to feet
8.enjoy being clean

I will continue to shower in this order unless someone has a better way...bring it.

NOTE: I've been reading your answers, really all are good. BUT, if you rinse conditioner AFTER you soap up the rest of your body, you will leave a film of oily on you, making way for pimples, perhaps?
ALSO, i'd like to defend #4 being #4, i feel comfortable with these, typically labled "dirtiest parts"...i really think mine are super clean!

I had a look over this and think some answerer's are making dangerous assumptions about your cleanliness.

Carry on with this order but take into account the rule of washing cleaner areas before dirtier ones, use your own judgement on this.

P.S. I am a man so do it in only 3 steps.

1. Get in shower.
2. Shower.
3. Get out of shower.

i like to wash my hair after i wash my body. i have short hair, so i dont really have to worry about soup getting in it, but the ponytail is a good idea. i also wash my face after i wash my hair to make sure conditioner isnt on it when i get out.
and yes, do #4 last.
but this is a really good order.
