If nothing can read it you would have to use an advanced program that uses bit stream copying to get the information back. Through any normal means the hard drive is dead and all information is lost. If it is imparative that you get the information off of it take it to a computer repair shop and ask them to retrieve whatever data they can. If it is not important to save the data that was on there you will need to buy a new drive and set up your computer again. Hope this helps.

go to bios and change the sequence from c: to boot from a: put win 98 disk in and restart your computer follow instruction on formatting HD then repartition the HD either single or double partition your choice then reinstall win xp this is the only way to format a HD with NFTS on it.

hmmm ... is it from another machine? all i can think of is to go into bios settup and manually enter the drive parameters written on the label of the drive and try that .. if it DID come out of another machine put it back into that machine and go into its bios settup and see how the parameters are defined in that machine and transfer them to the machine its in now ... enter manually .... barring all that, if theres somthing important on the drive .. put it in another machine as a slave and try to get it to recognize in disk management ... if the machine can see it then use an app called getdataback to try to retrieve some of the files off of it then use fdisk and a floppy to nuke it or see if a windows install disk can format it ....
