because copper is a metal. metal have spread electron in whole particle, spread just like cloud. so, the electron move easy than make it a good conductor.

Copper is not an insulator, it's a conductor because of it's ability to transmit electrical current with little resistance. A insulator is something just the opposite. It has a very high resistance. Pure water is an insulator and is only a conductor because of the minerals contained in it.

It is one of the properties of a metal. It is related to the way the electrons are arranged in the molecules of a metal. Several atoms of an element form the molecule. The electrons kind of float around in the metal. When an electric potential is put across the metal, the electrons readily respond to the electric force and current is produced.
An insulator's electrons are not so free to move around. They are more rigidly placed. That is why solid glass is an insulator, but liquid glass is a conductor. It's all about being able to carry a charge from one place to another.

Because Copper is a HIGHLY conductive metal. Usually metals are conductors. Anything that electricity would easily pass through would make it a conductor. Anything that resist an electrical current would be an insulator such as porcelain, glass, rubber, and plastic.

Do you understand the question you asked a conductor is a wire a plate or bar that carriers electric, plastic rubber glass is a insulator it keeps the conductor from shorting out and blowing a fuse or catching something on fire.Understand.

because of the simple fact that it is a conductor, it cannot be an insulator.

it is a good conductor because it resists heat and corrosion well.
especially when it is in an air tight enviroment.
and it is a very dense substance with tightly packed atoms.

COPPER HAS VERY LITTLE RESISTANCE TO THE FLOW OF ELECTRICITY MAKING IT A GOOD CONDUCTOR. AN INSULATOR HAS A VERY HIGH OR TOTAL RESISTANCE TO THE FLOW OF ELECTRICITY.
