My best friend recently got married, and I would like to take the pictures from her wedding and upload to a FREE personal site for her and her husband. The site doesn't have to be wedding it can be a famly website as well. I have looked a little through searching on the internet, but found a lot of them that were free only for a short period of time. Does anyone know or use a personal website to display photos?

I think first you have a family web site of your own and invite people to visit your website. I can give you a link that gives a lot of information on promoting a website. Microsoft (free domain and hosting for life) , Google (Googlepages, Blogger) , Yahoo (Geocities), Freewebs are some of the companies offering free websites with design tools . I'm not sure what you want to do? Do you want to *build* a website and put the pictures.
Or do you just want to host them on the internet so you can look at them?
If you want to build a site with the pictures Yahoo! Geocities is a free website building tool.
But if you just want to host them onto a site, Photobucket is a good image hosting site. You can upload pictures to their servers so you can see them via the internet. Link: http://www.photobucket.com

If you want something that looks nice, you have to pay for it or build it from scratch yourself. Your website is your first contact with many clients ... you don't want to give a bad impression with a horrible, add laden, website.

www.photobucket.com is a good site for displaying pictures. you can add them on there and then anyone can look at them.
