You need to understand that the system administrator can easily watch your desktop, what you type, where you go, etc! They can even record what you are doing when they arent watching! Its called VNC software and I use it on my network all the time! I can easily watch all activities and when I am not there I can set my PC to record their actions! I also have complete control of their desktop! Its all perfectly legal too because you signed a waiver! The only thing your company cant do is watch you take a dump! BEWARE! A good indicator that someone is watching your desktop is you may see your mouse move on its own!

most of the time, yes. If you are on a network...most likely yes. You haven't given any specs but in most offices you connect to the internet through one main server or switch so there is a system administrator who will know what you are doing. If you want to get around try a filter. THere are some filters availbable which will help you surf without getting caught but risky since some admnistrators can track fliters. Just go for porn from your home mechine and stick to work at work

Yes. Domain administrators have full access to your machine. There are programs that track and audit computers on a network including internet usage.

Courts have ruled that the computers at work belong to the employer. They certainly can track your usage. For the hours you are being paid - your time belongs to the employer. Better get to work if you want to keep your job.

Absolutely. Mostly to protect themselves from lawsuits when you are using their T1 line to download the latest albums that you do not want to pay for. That and to weed out individuals that are trading company secrets. Oh and the IT department usually have nothing better to do than muse over your latest porn site visit while chugging Mountain Dew and playing Dungeons and Dragons :P

probably so. i would be careful to make sure you clear your history several times a day. lots of offices now can track it anyway though. especially if there is a network, (lots of computers connected together)

there's a handy little program called "cleanup" that should remove all traces of where you've been........ I used it on my home pc and it removed over 50,000 temp internet files. But I don't know if your job can track where you go before you clean up afterwards?
