I think its up to you. My parents had a friend that was getting married and my dad walked her down the aisle. Its whoever you want.

Whoever she chooses. It could be a good guy friend, or a distance relative, or she can even walk down there by herself. There's no law saying it has to be her father.

For the Chinese, the eldest uncle (from the dad's side - same surname/family name) could do it. If not, her eldest brother or eldest cousin (with the same family name/surname)
