Keri lotion is great and not greasy. Also try to make sure that you hydrate yourself by drinking lots of water. This really helps.

Use a light moisturizer, like Suave body lotion. Try using less moisturizer to avoid the sticky feeling. If you are in a hurry to get out the door, you can try an in-shower lotion like the one that Olay makes. Bath and Body Works also made one at some point...not sure if they still do. But I have tried both and they worked great. I didn't have to apply lotion at all after the shower since the in-shower lotion works with the steam from your shower.

Put your lotion or cream on right after you get out of the shower. Your damp skin will help absorb the moisture more easily and hold it longer throughout the day.
Also try more natural lotions/body butters/creams, etc. Shea Butter is awesome (I find it absorbs better than cocoa butter and isn't as pore clogging), just make sure it's one of the top ingredients in the product you're using and not one of the last ingredients (after all the nasty chemicals).

Try putting your body lotion @ night before you go to bed. Usually dry skin (beside medical conditions) is caused by dehydration. Increase the amount of water you drink daily. This combined with nighttime moisturizing your skin should be soft in no time.

The best moisturizer i have ever used is from Avon and its a whipped lotion. My mother in law gave me some for Christmas last year. That stuff works really good and you don't have to wait for it to dry. It doesn't feel like a regular lotion. And it leaves your skin feeling really really soft. My mother in law told me that Avon doesn't carry it anymore. But you might want to check it out yourself. I know i am going to. Also you might try like Bath and Body Works or someplace that specifically sell lotions and stuff.

Mary Kay Cosmetics has some great products that absorb quickly and helps heal dry skin. Also, Jergins Lotion has several body lotions. Try them - they really work.

I would try a really good exfoliator followed by a dry oil mist. The key to getting moisturized skin is to first exfoliate all the dead skin of so that it is fresh and new. Then the oil mist is a moisturizer that goes on and drys right away! Try your local Body Shop. I recommend the She Butter Body Scrub and the Coconut Dry Oil Mist!
