no you need to realize most of what you hear about fraternities in a big stereotype, I was in a fraternity in college and my initiation was actually a ritual and more of an oath intead of an physical or mental humiliation. Im sure some are it depends on the executive board of the fraternity and the school's policies on fraternities

no. but some initiations are done by people who think humiliation is important. Now in the age of lawyers the initiations/rituals themselves can't be f___d up. It is the people conducting it that you have to ask if they are following what is "supposed" to happen.

it depends on the fraternity you are choosing to be with...... most of them are doing some humiliation..... sad to say....... but i know a local fraternity in our place who only does "servicing" with the community... and i find it good because they can help the community they are in.....by the way...... it happens to be a Alpha Phi Omega.... i know you know that fraternity.....
