Keep up the faith!!!! You can have a baby!!! It may take a little longer since you have been on depo, and since your period started and stopped, I would take a test, even if its negative! It will help to regulate your cycle for easier conception!!! You're not a loser!! So for now make like rabbits EVERYWHERE you can!! Make it fun and a baby may happen faster than you think!! Hint!! Go and test drive a Grand Jeep Cherokee or "mommy" cars, and make sure there is PLENTY of room in the trunk area for all you'll need once you do have a baby!!! Make sure the windows are well tinted too!!! Good Luck!!!!

I just had my first period after depo start last week. I had been on the shot for 7 years. I got my last one on November 3, 2005. The first day of the period was really light, then on the second day totally stopped. The third day it was back again. Days six and seven were totally awful, very heavy and bad cramps. On day eight it stopped, but I have had some spotting here and there the last few days. My gyne said that I was probably just getting excess waste out of my system from not having a period for so long. On Friday, I will be having a sono to check to see if I have follicles developing, if so all systems are go! They said there is no reason why we cannot start trying. Your situation sounds a lot like mine. If your period does not start again tomorrow, try calling your doc to see what's up with it.

Depo is so potent, your doctor should have advised you that 50% of women that are trying to concieve after Depo DO NOT concieve in the first year. You are not a loser however, it will ahppen when the time is right, go to your OB & talk to them about the effects of Depo & the % chances you have of concieving & when. I have 2 friends that were on depo (1 for 6 months - 1for a year) both under 30, it took them both over 2 years to concieve.

Chances are that you are not pregnant. After being on the shot it really screws your body up. Chances are it will either start up again or it will come back next month. I was on the shot of 3 years. I got a short light period after six months and I didnt get another one for another 6 months. After that they have been pretty regular. On average it takes about 18 months for your body to start regularly ovulating. On the other hand if you still are not sure you can always take a pregnancy test.

Don't give up.

You know that to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

You could be pregnant, you could just be more aware of your PMS symptoms. If you wish to rule out or confirm pregnancy, just take a test the day your period is due, or when you are late. That's the best way to rule out false negatives.
