You know there's a whole series of "Little House" books, right? They're all awesome. I read them as a child and re-read them again as an adult when I found them in an old box I had stored. There is also a book written by Laura's daughter - Rose Wilder Lane that adds even more information. The stories were set in the mid-1800's.

Vanessa can substitute into invisible, Catty travels lower back in time, Serena reads minds, and Jimena has premonitions. What separates them from others bands them collectively as DAUGHTERS OF THE MOON.

I dont know the exact year but it was in the mid 1800's I believe. Before the civil war I think. When they were expanding to the west. Try www.askjeeves.com
