I know at some point everyone feels like running away and taking a break from their life..my question is has anyone actually went with that feeling and did it..where did you go, what did you do, and was it worth it when you came back?

Yes, I went out to a movie, by myself. It was great. It was really what I needed. I'm going to do more things by myself just as soon as I can. No screaming kids, nagging husband, needy, obnoxious friends or tiring family members. YAAAY!

I actually went and became a hobo for a while, about nine months. I rode the freight trains up into Oregon and Washington. Up in the Northwest, there are organizations that will help you find work on ranches or in stores to get you room and board, food, and some spendind cash. I actually grew because of the experience.

escaping for a while clears your mind and gets you a rest so, you can see the bigger picture. Go to your mom's or a girlfriends, or sisters, or take a week end drive all by yourself. I camped out for the week-end all alone. I went for walk and just enjoyed the peace and nature. When i got back it was much clearer what needed to be done to make me happy!

I drove accross the united states. It was ok but I was ignoring my problems when I should have spent the time and effort I put into running away into dealing with my problems head on. Its so hard to do though, sometimes decisions can be so life shaping and so final!
