how to be successful in career?

While having the proper education and degree for whatever job is a given, what will always separate you from the rest is your attitude.

Next time you have an opportunity to sit in the lobby of a large corporation, watch the people as they enter on their way to work. You can easily spot the successful people. The ones with smiles and an extra pep in their step. The ones walking with their heads up and a sense of purpose. Those are the people who are successful.

A famous motivational speaker once said, "If you choose a job you love, you'll never work a day in your life."

Those people you watch entering the building with frowns and heads down, trudging in to mark off another day at work on their calendars...........those aren't the successful ones.

Every single time you pick up the phone or interact with a coworker, superior, or customer, you are sending out vibes about who you are and what you are about. Those vibes need to say that you are a confident person who is enjoying this work and has a lot of creative ideas and positive energy to add.

Knowing how to be successful is easy. Actually doing it takes motivation and drive.

Most young people nowadays want to be successful NOW. They have no patience and they think all good things should be handed to them the moment that degree is placed in their hands. The world just doesn't happen that way.........and besides, what joy is there in achieving something if it came too easy?

Work hard, be motivated, be positive, be creative, be patient and you WILL be successful

Good Luck!
Sincerely,
Robin_in_Tennessee

P.S. Enjoy the ride up the ladder. I know a lot of successful people and they love to reminence about lots of their struggles to the top and what a great time they had getting there. Enjoy every moment!

I think you can be successful in any area you choose to have a professional career in, but it will take plenty of time, dedication, passion and risk. This seems like a cliché answer but this kind of approach can be applied to any faucet of your life and over time I think you will continue to realize this. I've learned this over the years from experience and research, I like to use a lot of websites related to this kind of thing that you might find useful. I will leave a link in the sources for your reference.

You should try to find something you really enjoy doing - don't just settle for a paycheck. If you love it, you'll be successful in life, since we spend so much time working. Find someone who already does what you'd like to do and ask them to be your mentor. Remember that success might not always translate into big bucks, and it would be a waste to do something your whole life that you don;t really like. Hope you find it!
