HABITANT...how old are you?....for a guy that hates the Leafs so much...you seem to talk about them a whole lot.

The Leafs have just as good a chance as any team. How many surprises have we seen in the playoffs over the last 3-4 years????

i give it 52%

Some people might think I'm crazy to even rank it this high, but I'd give them a solid 50 out of 100. They are off to a good start, Paul Maurice is coaching them well, and their goaltending for the most part with Raycroft has been better than last year. If they can get in the playoffs then who knows... the last couple years no one predicted who ended up in the Cup finals and winning it all. It's a long season and the Leafs could falter some, but they definitely have a chance.

Looking around the rest of the league, I'd say the Leafs are slightly above the middle of the pack...so let's say 60.

The team has the potential to put together a similar run as what the Sabres did last year. No one seems to realize how much this team has improved with the new coaching and goaltending, so they could sneak up on a few teams.

For the record, I'm a Calgary fan...so I like to think my Leaf opinions are unbiased and, unlike the Toronto media, they are not shoe ins by any means.

I'd say about 25% chance. Yes, the Leafs beat Buffalo this season giving them their only loss (until tonight when slumping Ottawa knocked off the Sabres)....but can the Leafs do it in a 7 games series, don't think so. The Sabres look like they will represent the Eastern Conference in the Stanley Cup finals. They are clearly the most balanced team in the East.

Odds of the Leafs winning the cup are 50-1, they just don't have the depth

Like most teams, they're extremely thin in talent, but look what they've been doing without Sundin and Kubina. If Raycroft plays like a #1 goalie, they could reach the final eight, barring a string of injuries, and then it's wide open to everyone. So many teams are a couple of injuries away from missing the playoffs

I'd give the a 18% chance at making it to the Cup. I know that they are playing great hockey right now, and they did beat Buffalo. I'm just a little iffy about them because they always seem to choke in the playoffs.

100%!!
Just kidding. I'm a die-hard Leafs fan but this year I don't see them winning the Cup. We need the young guys like Wellwood and Steen to step up more. Hey, but there's always hope, right?
