Yes, it is normal. I had the same pain in my tailbone in the beginning of my pregnancy (I actually sometimes still have it, and I'm almost due!) It was actually one of my first signs of being pregnant, though I didn't know that's what it was from. I asked my doctor and she said that it was just from the physical and hormonal changes I was going though from being pregnant. It can also be from a previous injury, and worsen while you are pregnant. It usually happens to me when I sit a lot (I work and sit in an office all day) so I try and not stay in one position too long and I get up and stretch often. I also invested in a cushion from the back store, and that helps a lot too. They actually have cushions just for that.

As for cramps, yes, that can be normal, but I'd get checked out by a doctor. Sometimes cramps can be a sign of miscarriage (not trying to scare you) but usually nothing to worry about. As long as there is no bleeding accompanying your cramps, you should be just fine :)

Congrats and good luck with everything! :)

I am a mother of three and i have experienced the same thing. My doctor told me it was normal that it was just my uterus stretching even though the baby is still very small your body is trying to make room. To be on the safe side and ease your own mind i would go to see your doctor, you will never feel comfortable until you now for sure that everything is o.k.

I've had two children, and have never experienced these problems, nor know of anyone else experiencing them. Could be totally unrelated to pregnancy. I suggest that you contact your OBGYN asap to discuss. It's probably nothing, but you'll feel better being sure.
