If your roommate is no longer interested in these offers, I suggest you do two things:
1) Register your phone number with the National Do Not Call List ( http://www.donotcall.gov );
2) When you do receive a call, do not respond to their questions except to say, "Please remove my number from your calling list, and do not call again."

If you have call display on your phone, check the number. After you've lifted the receiver DO NOT answer or listen - just put the receiver beside the phone or on a table and give it a couple of minutes - THEY WILL GIVE UP!

you can call the do not call hotline and register your number so telemarkerters will have to remove you from their list. I have my home and cell phone registered. 1-888-382-1222 or online. I think the web address is www.donotcall.gov
