Very interesting point. The only reason dems got control was because of the blue-dog conservative democrats who were elected this time around. America hasn't gone less conservative...only less republican. Now, the dem leadership isn't taking the hint. Instead, they're reeling to the left once again. Should be interesting. I personally think it will open the door for a sweeping Repub victory in '08 - if they get back to their conservative roots. Great point.

where was your sense of fairness when the Republicans ignored the Democrats? The Majority has the right to fill positions in the committees and serve as their leaders just as the Republicans do. This is a party issue, you are not a Democrat so how can you expect to be able to affect any voting whether in a primary or the party itself, when you don't belong. I am not a Republican and never thought that they should pick this person over that person...I may have hated the outcome, but it wasn't my party then...it's not your political party now.

Whatever you may say, the Democrats have the majority and were given that. Did the Republicans surrender only with the consolation that John Murtha would not be majority leader? I think not...thus is a Democratic Party issue, not Republican, still sore from the election and hating all things Democrat or Liberal.

I study the Pelosi quote and that i do no longer see how its something like the Kerry quote. a number of the failings that are risky to our troops relate to values: Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, torture, all of those themes approximately who we are as a united states of america. and that i think of that our troops are nicely served as quickly as we declare who we are as a united states of america and improve the honor that folk have for us as a united states of america.” She wasn't rather criticising the troops, i think of extra the government, and whilst that form of component gets out it particularly is utilized against us and consequently positioned the troops in extra threat. And if the government seems extra helpful then there is extra help for the U. S. between Iraqis and the troops are in much less threat theoretically. i think of she grew to become into putting it extra on the people in Washington. that's what i'm getting out of it yet whats up consistent with threat i'm lacking something. i do no longer see it as something like the Kerry quote.
