CNN can survive an ordinary fact check. I can't figure how Fox ever could - unless Murdock owned the fact checkers.

Forgetting the politics on either side, the answer is that none of the cable based news channels have licenses to broadcast... and thus there's nothing to revoke.
Only over the air television stations have licenses from the government.

Who has the money to take on Murdock and FOX revoked. That's barely a pinprick. Nice ideals. Since Reagan allowed all the deregulation laws news has become more and more propaganda. Just Scream Bloody Murder when for "SECURITY" or what ever reason they whant to regulate the net....MARY

It's called yellow journalism, and no the first amendment guarantees the right to do just that. rabble rouser, FOX channel was started because of the Clinton News Network. CNN.
PBS and NPR are government funded news networks. They wouldn't be in existence if not for tax payers money and small contributions.

Freedom of the press my friend, as long as they don't slander or liable, they can stay on the fringe of it forever, just look at what the National Enquirer has gotten away with all these years.

Everyone has the right to lie, but also to suffer from the consequences of lying...say, a loss in viewing from lack of credibility. That's the beauty of freedom of speech.

Absolutely.... it's a shame what happened to FOX in the last 10 years....
That's why I support NPR and PBS - it's run by it's viewers so they don't lie to you to support their advertisers.
