I like it, but it's only because I'm a big James Cameron fan, especially of his writing, though is directing is also top notch.

I've seen all 3 versions. I like the latest one that won awards. I even have 2 different Titanic CD-Roms where you run the ship even to the sinking part. Another one is where you search for artifacts. I even have an audio CD on the Captain's Log from the time they cited an iceberg to the sinking. By the way, France built another Titanic, an exact duplicate except for the furniture, several years ago. I am a guy! So, not all answers are from girls!

I agree the love story was over-played in the latest version, and it's a shame. It would still have been a block-buster if they had omitted that. With the real footage of the actual Titanic and the knowledge that has been uncovered through technology about what really occurred that fateful night, they could have come up with more realistic storyline that would have captivated the audience as much, if not more than this latest version did. Good question!

I just watched the second half of it (the best half) the other day. I still really like this movie. I don't care for the first half, just the part with the sinking and all the action. However bad that makes me sound.

My all time favorite. Guilty! I still put it on from time to time. And when it comes out on TV I never miss it.
