What's the best way to meet a potential partner in your mid 30s?

Seems to me dating sites are just viewed as a laugh, especially when the girl goes free. Why do people message you and then not answer your reply? Why are the majority spotty, ugly things that cannot spell or hold a sentence - or even have some kind of social problem like a fear of going out?

I want to have fun and get somewhere now, but just seem to attract those that want to just waste time. Be nice to find someone to have a conversation with.

Don't get me wrong, if I like the person I'm sure you can overlook minor attraction flaws, but before even going there, just be nice to have a conversation. Why do people go on these things if they cannot be bothered?

Have you tried joining a quality on line dating site with higher standards and fees that cut out the time wasters? You get what you pay for.

Otherwise try going to M&S once a day and watch out for people of opposite sex buying meals for one. Ask them if they recommend that type and get chatting.

Join an Adult Ed. class that appeals predominantly to the opposite sex. For instance, if a girl, join a bricklaying class or sailing class depending on which type you prefer. If a man, keep fit or creative writing would be good (you could check their spelling and sentence construction). Either sex could hit lucky at a cookery for one class.

Both of above have been extensively field tested and work. There is also the benefit of being able to judge their height/spottiness/ugliness quotient at close quarters before taking things further.

im in my mid 30's... i dont know what spotty means - but i dont think i would be that. if your interesting i can hold a pretty decent coversation as well..and i really dont think i'm ugly by any means..
