I have a NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200 and need to upgrade this. To upgrade it would I have to buy an entire new driver or is it possible to download one? I know nothing of computer hardwares so any additional information would be really helpful. Thanks.

I have a game (BF2) and I can't play it because of my driver. Not sure if I need a new one or upgrade the one I have.

Be exact here: what have you been told to upgrade?

Upgrade the display driver?

or

Upgrade the video card?

Upgrading the display driver (though usually we say update!) just mean you go to NVIDIA.com, and download the latest Detonator Driver version appropriate for your OS.

Update the video card would require you to buy a new one, remove the old one, then install the new one, and install the drivers for the new one.

EDIT: Just install the new driver over your existing one.

If all your looking for is a driver just go to NVIDIA's website and download one for free, warning though this will most likely not increase your viewing quality. If you are looking to make your video quality of your computer better, then you need to purchase another video card, which range from $30.00-$400.00. You also (if looking to purchase a card) need to find out.
A.) do you have any open PCI slots
B.) does your computer even have PCI slots
C.) do you have an open AGP slot
D.) does your computer even have a AGP slot
IF you computer does have AGP then this is the way to go, the AGP port of a computer is made for graphics.

NOW how can you tell? for this you will have to either read your manual or open you computer.
HOW to tell the difference between a PCI and AGP.. well thats another yahoo question I would be glad to help with... :)

Use this link to download drivers
http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
If you mean upgrade the graphics card to something better then download everest home edition and find out what kind of motherboard you have and who made it and look up the motherboard and find out wheather it takes a PCI or AGP graphics card and go to www.tigerdirect.com and find the best one for your needs or if you can't find one that will let you play the game you want you may need to upgrade the motherboard CPU and memory and video card.

Drivers can be downloaded. But, it sounds to me as if you're wanting to upgrade your video card. That's always gonna require not only money, but the ability to uninstall the old card, and install the new one.
