I do when watching the old film noir movies, but then that's film, not literature...Anyway, just curious.

I think sometimes I look too hard - the killer might be right in my face, but I figure the author wouldn't let it be that easy. True?

So I suppose when I read my immediate response is, okay, how are they trying to trick me into thinking it's this person when I'm pretty sure it's that person and what clue did they leave for me to figure out?

That's my thought process.

yea.most of the time.i guess you expect her to be the killer.but its usually someone unexpected like the janitor who said hey to the main character at the beginning.haha.
