First off, both are the one and the same.

You see, nuclear weapons don't kill everyone instantaneously... the victims can linger for years and die a slow torturous death.

With that said and for that reason, if I had to choose the lesser of the two evils, I would say world-wide nuclear war would have a greater detrimental impact on the world. Not only would the victims suffer but everything else including animals, plants, etc... Not even to mention the fact, the land would become uninhabitable for many many years.

World Wide Torture

I used to say the other way though. If people are tortured right(sounds sick, i know), but then I read the book by Primo Levi, "The Drowned and the Saved"

He was a Holocaust victim, and in this book, he predicts a new Holocaust happening because people are not learning from past lessons. Also, this man's death was a little shaddy, and looks like a suicide, but some say he just fell off his apartment balconey. Also, if you do your research, a lot of Holocaust victims committed suicide, why you may ask? Turns out, it seems that these people are so disgusted with the way people act in the future, that they do not even really care about preventing a Holocaust. Very good book, I can't explain nearly all of the reasons, but I think you should check it out sometime

I think torture mainly because it gets to people mentally, nuclear war is just massive destruction, ppl will survive, but civilization won't.

Torture, ppl will survive, but humanity won't

Torture is obviously worse, but nuclear war has the biggest impact because life would cease to exist.

Torture kils a few people very painfully.
A nuclear war would kill millions, some instantly, some slowly & painfully.

A nuclaer war would be far worse.

I would say nuclear war because it is mainly instant death rather than slow and painful death.
