Okay your ABs are the only group of muscles you can work out everyday. They are so complex, talk to a trainer and get 5-10 differnt routines just for them.
Arms. Back, Shoulders- start with adding 2-3 reps of 10 at a good weight, add two pounds each new work out. You should be able to curl 45# weights in about 5-6 weeks, Remember to stretch those muscles out after the work out.
Drink TONS of water ( not power drinks) Since you are young- DON'T be tempted to the Chemicals...They are only temporary trust me its NOT worth it. Get a good Protein Shake and eat more carbs before a good workout.
Besure to Cardio before the weights, 20-30 on the treadmill witll warm up all the muscles and it will help them get the blood flow needed to get the most out of them. Every day.
Now- here's the kicker- You must have a strong lower body to carry the weight of the upper, so the CORE, Abs/Back must the the primary thing you work EVERYTIME!
Do cardio, abs, legs, upper body.
I would recommend, moderate leg work on back/ triceps arms day. Heavy leg work (squats with weights) on Front Chest and arms day.
If the offer an aroebics class for abs/butt sculpt. then take it. They have stretches build it and it will help you with your balance as well. Yoga is another Awesome thing for men, it will really make you "Centered" and your body will move in ways that you can't imagine. Good for you and the ladies....get my meaning.
Dude get yourself an trainer at the gym- the OLD guy. He will take care of you the right way. The young one, may not know "how" to keep it long term, trust me on that one too. They are professional and all, yet experience it worth its weight in gold.
Best wishes.

every muscle group should get worked about 3 times a week to see good gains over the period of a few months.
best way to build the most muscle in one session is a full body workout. do this: squats, bench press, deadlifts, and chin-ups (palms facing you). i kid you not, that's all you need to hit your major muscle groups. use the rest of your time to enjoy life :-)
rest a day after each lifting session. try to incorporate cardio on some of those rest days. do sprints instead of long runs. look at how ripped sprinters are compared to marathon runners. limit cardio to 20 mins (i'm sure you'll be beat after sprints anyways).
none of this will matter if you eat like crap. consume good protein sources like chicken, egg whites, fish, fat free dairy, and whey. use that as a foundation to each meal (have 5-6 small meals a day). in addition, get your carbs from whole wheat products, as well as fruits and vegetables. of course, don't forget healthy fats from nuts, olive oil, and once again fish.
oh, and don't be anal about it all. if you wanna take a break from lifting one day, go for it. just don't let it be a habit. if you wanna eat out sometime, go ahead. just limit it to once or twice a week.
good results take hard work over a long period of time.
i hope this helps.

Well you need to do every other day basically to give ur muscle a day to repair itself because that's how muscle is built. Or so I heard, it tears and then repairs itself. But if you don't give ur body time to do that than your going to give urself an injury or something. So every other day. During the days ur not working out your abs and chest, work on other parts.

You should work a group of muscles every OTHER day. It takes that long for the muscles to recover and add bulk. Do upper body one day, lower body the next.

Well one thing that's important to remember is that if you work out too much you can actually hurt yourself more than help. It's good to have a heavy workout one day then the next day only a light workout and keep repeating that process. Doing that will maximize your results.

alternate your upper body and your lower body. every other day one day work on your upper body and the next your lower. because when you work out you are breaking down your muscles and you need the next day to rest those muscles to rebuild .
