2(x-6)=3x
1.Distribute the 2 to the X and the 6.
2x-12=3x
2. Subtract the 2x from the left side and subtract it from 3x
-12 = 1x
3.flip the problem so it looks pretty!
x = -12

Multiply the 2 by everything in the bracket.
so...2 x X= 2X
2 x -6=-12
your new equation will now be 2x-12=3x
now move the 2x over to the other side
your new equation will now be -12=3x-2x
What is 3x-2x? It's 1x or just x (you don't have to put the 1)
your new equation will now be -12=x
reverse it so it will look like this x=-12
therefore your answer is x is -12
make sense? i hope so, i hate math!

2(x-6) = 3x Get the x on the left out of the parenthesis by multiplying it out so that
2x-12 = 3x Now you need to get the x's on both sides; you have to get the one on the left over to the right. You can subtract like terms, so that
-12 = x

it is a pleasure for me to answer this question..
1st, perform the math operations
2(x-6)=3x
2x-12=3x
2nd, now transfer the term(s) in the right side of the equation that has a leteral value w/c 'x'..in transposition, note that you must change the operation or the sign of the term.
2x-12=3x
-12=3x-2x
-12=x
Now you have the value of x which is -12...that solve your problem...
hope i help you

use the distributive property multiply x-6 by 2 you get 2x-12=3X switch the problem around to get the larger unknown on the other side so you get 3X=2x-12. subtract 2X from both unkowns so you get 1x=-12. that's ur answer.

First distribute the 2 to the x and -6 so you get: 2x-12=3x
Then you would take the 2 x and subtrack it on both sides so you get: -12=x
so x=-12

All you have to do is 2x(-6). Which since you are dealing with negative integers, it would be division, do it would really be 3. And since we don't know what x is, your answer would just be 3x because you are multiplying (-6) by x, and we do not know what number (x) stands for.
