I think they are for real. The defense is playing great and that offense is potent. The guy above me said Reggie Bush isnt doing much, but without him they wouldnt be where they are at. He may not be piling up the stats and TD's but hes acting as a major decoy giving Brees, Colston, and Duece breathing room. He is a very versatile player and whenever he touches the ball he gets mobbed, but still is making the best of it.

They are fully rounded yet, but I think Brees was the best addition for this team. I didnt know how he would perform coming off injury but he has silenced the critics.

The Saints are a feel good story this season, I'm not a fan but I enjoy seeing them do so well for the city of New Orleans. They'll make the playoffs but wont go deep.

I don't think that there is a chance that this team is a pretender. Drew Breees is one of the top QB's in the league this year. Then there is that one, two punch of Deuce and Bush. Finally to complete the three count there is the reliable Joe Horn and then the steal from Hofstra with Marques Colston. Just to prove the point of this team when Horn gets hurt Terrence Copper steps in and has six catches for 92 yards and a touchdown.
I don't believe that there is any argument that this team is going to be a team to beat all year. This season will start to dwindle and people will see that not only is this a good Saints team, but it is a contender.

The Saints have the perfect offense contained in the league and now they have a protection to bypass alongside with it. it is brilliant how a lot one individual can thoroughly replace the complexion of a crew. For the Steelers, that individual is Troy Polamalu. For the Titans, it replaced into Albert Haynesworth. And for the Saints, it is Jonathan Vilma. honestly, i'm happy they are having the achievement they are. i have continually loved Drew Brees and would't have self assurance San Diego enable him bypass. imagine about it - the Chargers at one time had Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, LaDainian Tomlison *and* Michael Turner all on a similar roster. And, i imagine they must have kept Brees and Turner. Rivers isn't undesirable. yet, he isn't any Drew Brees. And, LT ... nicely, he's definitely seen better days.

It is still not proven that the Saints can be contenders yet. There only proven players are Drew Brees and Joe Horn. Their defense cannot stop the run, as seen by Willie Parker breaking runs of 72 and 76 in one game against them. Marques Colston is too young to carry a team on his back like he has. If they can buckle down and play some defense, they can make some noise, but they can't win a Super Bowl the way that they have been playing

The saints are for real and considering that most of the team this is the first year they are playing together they can only get better. right now they are taking a hit because of their defense but again it will get better. They are a good team who should not only make the playoffs but will win a game or two while there.

For real, I think it would be fair for them to go to the playoffs and win at least a game there. I ain't a Saint fan, but I think their fans deserve something for the aftermath of Katrina. Go Saints!!!

They're pretenders. They've lost to the only 3 good teams that they've played. They'll probably lose at least 4 of their remaining games and if they do make the playoffs, will be one and done.

i think that they are for real, but you have to see for 2-3 season to see if they are really pretenders or not, only half the season has gone by so far
