Dont just say gay without any explaining, say why you think they are automatically considered gay. Im trying to see why when people wear certain things, they immediately get marked as a stereotype, such as a guy wearing really baggy pants and a XXL shirt would be looked at as a gang banger or a rapper, get the idea?

well if it the right time, say out at the beach or the park or out at the mall, that is fine. i would think "hey he is a casual type of guy", but lets say it is nighttime out at a resturant or a club or some place like that, i would think "what is wrong with him". there is a time and place for everything. i wouldnt think he was gay or anything like that. but if you are wearing flip flops out at nighttime at a place where you shouldnt wear it i would think also "bummy guy"

I have actually found that I like guys in flip flops better than shoes, not entirely sure why. I've never heard of people assuming men are gay for wearing old navy flip flops, or flip flops in general.

I agree i think of they are slightly female. How a pair of pair of suede 2 strap brown birks? Birkenstocks are so comfortable for all that strolling you do as a school student, they're undying, very universal. they provide a sprint insurance to incase your ft are not actual distinctly and that i havent met too many men with distinctly ft. I wore them 15 yrs in the past as quickly as I went to college and my brother is your age and he lives in them. they're costly yet rather final. do no longer understand what the climate is like at your area yet in DE college pupils positioned on those 12 months around with shorts, denims, and kackis

I wouldn't think they're gay. Just weird maybe. I think it's human nature to group people as sterotypes and such. Like why are some people classified as popular and some as nerds? For like no apparent reason.

I'd say, "yay, another person wearing flip flops in november". I wear old navy flip flops everyday. although i'm not a guy. Lots of guys wear old navy flip flops, they aren't gay. They just like to keep their feet cooled. In my opinion, i think that flip flops from american eagle(though pricier) look a lot nicer.

The first thing that popped in my head after reading your question was certainly not that he is probably gay! I envisioned someone who likes to wear name brands, may be rather stylish, and likes to be comfortable.

Hopefully that helps!

I would ask: Where are his clothes?

On a serious note, it seems fine...typical college style. It may make the man appear to be more immature or younger, from a female's perspective.
