I have some friends whos children wear their shoes until they go to bed at night. Meaning on a school day they have their shoes on from 7 in the morning until 9 at night. What do your children do and do you know anyone who kids do this? My daughter wants to keep hers on at home now since she wears them at daycare all day.

My little one does wear his shoes most of the day. He takes them off at nap at daycare. When he gets home he keeps them on for a while and then he may take them off or have me take them off of him. I let him wear them when he wants to keep them on, except at bed!

My kids only wear shoes when we leave the house.
Shoes are not a very natural thing and I don't want them to mess up their little feet. I only wear shoes if it is necessary and it's the same with my kids.
Furthermore I don't want the dirt they bring in from outside spread over the whole house!

We wear shoes all the time(except sleeping). My parents came from Japan and it is hard to let go of some customs. In Japan, you don't wear your "outside" shoes in the house, but you do wear slippers. They also do not wear the same house slippers into the bathroom, they have different slippers for the bathroom. I grew up with that and it just seems natural to me to do that, even with my own home and family.

My kids only wear shoes when they have to. I used to wear them all the time. I only took mine off when it was bedtime. Now I wear them on and off throughout the day.

I don't have any kids, but my brother and I wear our shoes everywhere. We take them off at our house because our parents want to keep the carpet clean. (We take them off at other people's houses for this reason as well)

i have a 3 yr old 20 month old and 2 month old. 2 month old never wears his shoes. I only make my 20 month old wear them when he goes to he store otherwise he doesn't have too. My three year old will put his on when he goes somewhere, but then he decides when to take them off. Hes slept in them before. i just let him decide how long he wants them on since he is old enough to put themon and taake tem off himself.

My 2year old only wears them outside, or when we go somewhere. As soon as he comes in the house he wants them off.

We don't wear shoes in my house.

But I'm sure other parents have their own rules.
