hi if smaller angle is say x
then other angle would be 2x+24
since they are complimentary their sum would be 90
so (2x+24)+x = 90
hence x=22 which is small angle

Complemetary angles must add to 90°.
x = one of the angles
2x + 24 = other angle

x + 2x + 24 = 90
3x + 24 = 90
3x = 66
x = 22
90 - 22 = 68

The two angles are 22° and 68°.

Take what the others said. Plug in 22 to the equation. 44 + 24 = 68. 68 + 22 = 90, so 22 is the smaller angle.

Let the smaller angle be x.

2x+24+x=90
3x=66
x=22 degrees
