Its gorgeous but I've never worn it! And I've had it for years too.. Its plain dark purple and mini, with a square neck, so a real sixties shape although its also quite fitted, more like an a-line shape i think.. I need your adivce on how to wear it.. I was thinking of pairing it with black opaque tights, patent black heels and a black elasticated waist cincher belt. What do you guys think? I think it maybe well suited to this fall's trends.. Have you guys got any ideas for what jewellery I could pair with this? And what bag and coat style would go with this look? Maybe an oversized blazer? Thanks!

Ankle boots would look good with opaque tights...if you're going for fishnets or sheer black, go with a knee high boot. You could either do a chunky heel for a retro go-go look, or a stiletto for a little more modern, sleek look. Avoid the patent shoes...just a little too garish for the look.

the dress sounds really fun and perfect for this season. the patent leather, the belt, the tights underneath, and the purple color are all hot this season.

i wouldn't wear an over-sized blazer with it...

i love our idea of the belt, tights, and heels or maybe some ankle boots. as far as a purse goes: something small. a clutch i think. try a long coat with a peter-pan style collar or a long-ish sweater-jacket with a belt instead of a regular jacket.

jewelry-wise: try large earrings and skip all other jewelry. go for something in grey or brushed silver i think. or you could do gold or even bronze. but grey is really what's HOT! and it goes super with purple.

LEGGINGS! They are really hot right now and they look cute with almost all dresses, I wear mines with a kimono dress and long necklace. I would wear the purple dress with a black patent leather waist belt, black leggings, long gold necklace, and some cute patent leather heels! CUTE CUTE CUTE!

If it's sleeveless pair it with a black cowl-neck or turtleneck top, black tights, and black ballet flats with lots of vintage necklaces layered around the neckline

The belt should ride down on your hips. If you don't have boots, Mary Janes would be good. A pea coat would be a nice retro look.
