Hi all .. I have a burned Imation DVD+RW 4X 4.7GB from my friend, but my LG DVD Reader can't read any information from it. I've check Nero Infotool, the results are that I can read DVD+RW too. But I wonder why this DVD wouldn't work on my ready while it's readable in my friend's DVD Drive.

Hmm.. not much to say. How old is the DVD reader... if it's more than 2 years, you might consider a new one. Just because technology has moved so rapidly. I recently had a GOOD DVD burner burn poor disks b/c it was 2 yrs old. And they only cost around $35-40 for a new one... worth it for new technology (www.newegg.com). Otherwise... was the disc near any metals that could be magnetic. Some RW discs can be erased magnetically (against some people's opinions).... RW is not created at all like regular CD-R.

Good luck.

Hmm.. I heard one thing about those branded player like, Sony, LG, pioneer, panasonic... It can't played burned disc... some even can't played pirated disc... I don't know how true is it... But have tried out b4... and it really doesn't work... So its more advisable to get those unbranded player or those japanese brand player like Akira... It can played burn or pirated disc...

Try checking region settings for your player...Another reason although weird but it sometimes happens it might be the disk being used...
