Watched any cartoons in the 80's?? Let's see...Tom and Jerry were constantly blowing each other up, hitting, fighting, slicing and evaporating one another. Then there's the Smurfs...Old Gargamel (SP?) wanted nothing more than to catch the Smurfs so he could eat them for dinner. Even the Flintstones had shooting, hitting, and people getting pounded by rocks. You'd probably be better off finding cartoons that WEREN'T violent in the 80's. As far as TV, I have no idea...I was a little kid then...lol

That is a sad thing in today's world. When I was growing up all of the cartoons had guns firing, bombs blowing up and such stuff as that. Never would we have thought of doing any of those silly pranks that they did. Now days if nuts see something on TV they try it in real life. I can't say we've gone to the dogs because I'd offend my puppy. ha
