Sasuke is a relatively used name, it's not the first time it has been used within an anime. Instead of looking at a suffix, look at the whole name itself...Sasuke is the name of a legendary Shinobi of ancient times, which may refer to Sasuk's training to become an amazing ninja. Kakashi means Scarecrow, Kurenai means crimson red, Naruto means Maelstrom. So more likely than not, the creator of Naruto is not trying to hint towards a sexual bias, more so the meaning of the namesn refer to more like the attitude and characteristics of the character themselves..

...Sasuke seems more like a Seme...and Naruto is the uke....but ok....you got me arosed...... (damn those yaoi fanfics!! >_<) *nosebleed
Though Masashi Kinomoto actually chose Sasuke as the Uchiha's name because Sasuke is actually a very popular name and a Sasuke was a very famous ninja before in older times. Sasuke Uchiha in a way is a "genuis" so its to fit the other Sasuke's discription. :D

Maybe it's the way my dirty mind works, but that's the first thing I noticed when I heard his name.
