For NJ. I received a warrant for removal and sent the payment. Management is saying that they are still waiting to receive it. This is frustrating because I know that the mail doesnt take 4 days for delivery.
My main concern is that I have a cat in my apt. The lease states no pets, but I know for a fact that many tenants have one. I have asked if maintenance could let me in to pick up some stuff quickly, mgmt said no. My cat has been left alone since Monday (going on 4 days now) with no food, water may be empty by now. Does anyone know any way that i can get the mgmt to let me in? a court's request or anything?

have you considered maybe telling the truth for the sake of the cat? if mgmt knew that there was a living creature there that needed help, they would have to let you in or go in themselves and retrieve your pet for you. there's a time to try to "get away" with stuff, and there's a time for the truth. this would be the time for the truth.

Go to the police and explain. If you have a cat in there they must let you get it. If you have problems, call your local TV or newspaper. You'll get your cat! Call your local humane society and ask for help.

This is b.s. and I'd be throwing a fit that everyone could hear.
