Firstly, I would ask where you got your information, it sounds like an urban legand. The KKK doesn't ACCEPT people who are not "anglosaxin" (they don't know what that means really) into their ranks. The KKK is mostly obsolete anymore, and most members are secretly members- thus the hoods.

Anyone whose family has been in the South for many generations has no way of knowing if they are all white or not.
