If my grade is 60% homework, 20% quizzes, and 20% tests then what is my grade?
HOMEWORK= 90 average
QUIZZES= 90 average
TESTS= 62 average

This is out of 2 tests, 7 quizzes, and 6 homeworks.

What is my grade if homeworks are worth 60% and the other two (quiz and tests) are worth 20% each?

You should be able to figure this out for yourself. Get out your calculator and multiply: (90 x .6) + (90 x .2) + (62 x .2) ... that should tell you your composite grade based on those weightings. Re-do with the other weightings for the comparison.

84.4 60% of 90=54 20% of 90=18 20%of 62+12.4 add54+18+12.4=84.4

.6(90)+.2(90)+.2(62) = x

54 + 18 + 12.4 = 84.4

Yep, he's right. You have an 84.4 average.

60 *0.90 =54
20 *0.90 =18
20 *0.62 =12.4

54+18+12.4 = 84.4

multiply
.6 *90
.2 *90
.2 *62

add the totals together and get 84.4
