That all depends on you and the school you go to. Keep in mind that credit hours in no way indicates the amount of clock hours. Normally, most colleges require twelve credit hours to be a full time student. This is accomplished usually by selecting 4 or more three credit hour courses. Most campuses are set up so that one class will last anywhere from 1.5 hours up to 3 hours, depending how often the class meets. Most classes take place two days out of the week. That depends on how long the class is, so amount of time and frequency are interelated. Based on this general model, theoretically you could be a full time student by attending 2-3 classes a day, four days out of the week for about 4-5 hours. Of course this is very general as all schools are different and semester length must also be taken into account as summer sessions are usually shorter thus increasing the frequency of attendance. AND, this is assuming that the school you are talking about is on a credit hour system and not clock hours which is more common with trade schools. The reason you hear about full time students is because you are supposed to study for two to three hours outside of class for every hour you are in class which if you add it all up, you should come up with something in the 40 hour range. So using this formula, you can see how many hours are required by the degree and go from there. How many hours you decide to take is totally up to you unless dictated otherwise by that specific program, so how long you want to take to finish the degree is how many hours it will take per day to obtain a computer science degree.

the two majors are comparable. yet are not precisely an identical. the way i think of approximately, it somewhat is electric engineering majors learn quite often circuits and hardware. laptop technology majors learn quite often programming. laptop engineers learn basically a sprint of the two: hardware/circuit and programming (i'd argue extra programming than hardware nonetheless). it is my opinion from an tutorial perspective. interior the paintings field regardless of the undeniable fact that, there is no longer in all probability a distinction whether you got a comp eng or comp sci degree. the two the stages are only as stable and are eligible for an identical jobs. I had a comp technology buddy get a working laptop or laptop engineering interest and vice versa. I even had an electric engineering buddy that have been given a working laptop or laptop technology interest! those adult adult males have been all out at as quickly as out of faculty with little to no adventure). It somewhat shows that it certainly relies upon on what you be attentive to and the variety you do on your interview. Pay sensible, i'd say it is only an known and it somewhat is probably no extra suitable than a pair thousand distinction. It somewhat relies upon on the place you paintings quite than which degree (comp eng/comp sci) you got.

i suggest look in your university catalog, you will be surprise how much information is in there.

a little fyi, if you know anyone who graduate from high after 1/1/05 and have a 3.0 or better or have taken ap classes and majoring in computer science, in college, there is a federal grant especially for that, and the same grant can be giving for their masters (www.fafsa.ed.gov for details)
