Ethics is/are much like discipline. In this case, doing what is best for the most people effected. Sadly, while it can be taught, the difference between right and wrong, most would rather just sit down and turn on the TV, leaving the teaching solely to the teachers at school.
What is right? An age old question yet to be fully answered. That's like asking what is "Fair." It is subjective. To make something "even" means that someone has to lose while the other gains. Is THAT fair?

Ethics are simply the moral code of a person. It is based on wisdom and knowledge, so they can be learned through discussion. Sadly, few people actually listen to this kind of thing now except from professionals, so yoú may be judged as weird. Right, in essence, is a code we follow that benefits all human so that all are equal and everything works towards human good. This way, no one is dissatisfied. Unfortunately, not many value right in totality anymore. Right is also defined as the good that God shows taht leads humans towards properity, since everything works through if we do right. Those who trust God follow right in His name, trusting Him to know what the proper thing to do is.

Ethics is something we build as we grow, most of them develop their values based on religion, its ok to follow as long as it works (out of fear for hell) but this values are external, they are not born out of them from within. Ethiics develop from within. It is the individuals effort to make choices that make others as well as him/herself. Ethics are tested and retested several times in a persons life that the decisions they make are compatable to their mind body and soul. This is real ethics. eg. being honest according to a religious person is speaking the truth, if a person is not honest deep down he may rationalize his lie to the point that he believes he has done the right thing and hence he is honest. When as an ethical person understands that if he tells a lie, he is honestly not happy from within, he respects and loves himself so much that he does not like to live in discomfort by saying a lie. He works hard to earn others trust. His decisions are always based on his inner core. what he is outside he is inside and this is true of an ethical person. Only a person who has reached an inner sense of well being can teach ethics because it has been his personal journey to reality.
What is right? Right is an act that does not take away someones happiness. and this sense of right has to be grown within, one has to understand happiness, respect, love for oneself to understand the other, to understand the feeling of the far we have to understand us. That is the meaning of right. Beig able to express the negative in a positive way is right. Any act that is the expression of happiness from within is a right act, and any act that is the expression of a negative emotion, is wrong. A happy mind does not want to take a gun in its hand. A happy mind does not want to blow up itself. I hope I have answered your question...can i teach ethics???ha ha ha hah
